In 2009, I presented Uncertainty Can Be a Guiding Light: Why and How U2 Made Zooropa at the U2 Conference in Durham. Twelve hours later, when U2 passed me as they left the stage at Carter-Finley Stadium, I leaned on a railing and shouted YOU DID A GOOD JOB! Because after a show like that, I needed to make sure they knew.
I’m currently working on Spelunking in Zooropa, a book-length extension of Uncertainty Can Be a Guiding Light.
The Lunch box
This is The Edge’s lunch box.
He designed it for a famine relief auction several years ago. I don’t know if he went to a hardware store for all the nails or if he decided to chance it with his home supply, only to realize – months later and midway through building a deck – that he’d kind of overdone it with the lunch box.
Either way: you go, The Edge.
